Glengoyne 15 Years Old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl / 43%)

This expression of Glengoyne showcases contrast and harmony. Marrying together whiskies wholly matured in bouron and sherry casks in perfect balance creates a fascinationg interplay between the resinous, sweetly dark orchard fruit notes imparted by sherry maturation and the brighter vanilla flavours of bourbon wood.

The result is an interiguing and complex dram that’s recognisably Glengoyne, but looked at from a different perspective.

 

Tasting Notes

Aroma: Fresh Hay, Malt Flour, Rosehip, Citrus and dried fruit.

Taste: Clean with a gentle sweetness, a hint of tropical fruit, candied lemon, cinnamon, vanilla and apple pie.

Finish: Pleasant dry finish with gentle spice and lingering oak.

Cask Recipe: 20% first fill bourbon. 25% first fill sherry. 55% refill casks.
