Lochlea Fallow Edition Second Crop Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl / 46%)

The third in an annual series of limited seasonal bottlings, Lochlea ‘Fallow Edition’ (Second Crop) reflects the season of autumn on the farm, when the fields are left fallow to rest after a busy harvest.

Matured in Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks. The Oloroso butts give rich notes of manuka honey and golden syrup, whilst the introduction of the PX casks provides warming layers of sweetly spiced ginger candy and ground coffee beans.

A rich purple label reflects the crisp leaves that cover the ground as temperatures begin to fall.

 

Aroma: Rich manuka honey, golden syrup.

Taste: Ground coffee beans, layers of sweet ginger candy.

Finish: Medium Length, freshly crushed almonds.
